I listened to the hotspot starting when I was like 12 years old
I even printed out a copy of Jeff's review of Gears of War 1 to convince my mom to buy it for me for christmas even though it was M-rated
I was there for when they founded giant bomb
Ryan and Jeff read out some of my comments during their end of The Matrix Online stream
I got a premium sub when they launched that
I listened to pretty much every bombcast from launch 2008-until Vinny left Giant Bomb West
I remember the Random PC Game segments, the livestreams, all the e3 streams
Fuck, I even remember ancient history memes like Legend of Zelda 8.8 and the Kane and Lynch firing

I really started dropping off once Vinny left Giant Bomb West, and once Dan was gone it was pretty much over

But it was actually a crazy feeling to notice that this random fat funny dude had been pretty much part of my entertainment diet since I was 12 years old, and I'm nearly 30 now

I have no idea what this guy is gonna do next, he had basically carved out the 'let's play' niche and the 'friends on a couch play game X' niche ahead of the curve
But Giant Bomb was basically the "Jeff and Friends show". One by one the friends left. Then it was just Jeff. And then Jeff is gone.

Well, I'll check out whatever he does next...if for no other reason than a melancholy sense of obligation.

The GOTYs with Abby were kino. She was a great villain. Seeing them have to face off against her was fun.

With that said, the days when it started getting grating on me was precisely when Giant Bomb became the Abby, Alex, Ben, Dan, Jason and that other guy I don't even remember the name of that's some Asian producer kinda guy show. A few months into that shit, I just started following along the E3 shows and the GOTYs, ignoring everything else.
