No, I don't think I will. It was REALLY bad. It's pretty decent now, ccomeback mechanic now, but it deserved to get shit on

I got up to gold before realizing fighting games aren't worth getting good at. Learn a productive hobby instead.

Oh is it now the time where everyone is going to pretend 5 was some wonderful/perfect game and we all didn't just spend like 8 years hating on it every chance we got but still playing it anyway?

Nope, SF6 looks way better. I will not apologize to a shit game.

lolno

Nah they aren't, all I see is SFVfags demanding the cycle happens. But it just isn't, first impressions matter the most and graphics are close behind. Meanwhile in the current environment SFV's online issues stick out like a sore thumb. So the SFVfag's best bet is gameplay and how it improved. Which means first admitting the game had problems for so long, then a lot of "see this unique SFV mechanic is less prevalent now" or "see the buttons aren't as stubby now."

The game needs to develop some positive meme or famous matches to save itself. Otherwise the legacy will be well they saved it from being a total disaster.

There is nothing to apologize for. It was shit for YEARS. Just because it's playable in 2022 doesn't mean they're worth apologizing to.

No, 6 looks reasonably better than 5.

>Render vs ingame footage that's someone taking a picture of a screen instead of capturing it.
damn you're right dude right looks so much better.

Street Fighter 5 never got good. It's a game built around locking your character's fun mechanics behind a comeback meter.

no fuck off

lol no.

>SFV is objectively top 5 FGS all time
>will never be recognized as such because the entire ineternet parrots the rookeis at r/kappa

genuinely sad

Damn she has a receding hairline in 6, what happened bros. Also she really lathered on the makeup, looks like she hit the wall.

No fuck this game we groaned about the final days of 4 and how we just wanted to go to 5 but if we knew that 5 would self-destruct mid way through the next line of consoles we would have been contempt with 4 for another year or so.

she....got old......happens to everyone....

shes 40 (in lore)

It's time will come once people realize how shit SF6 is at base. Unfortunately a fighting game can't really hit it's prime anymore until years after but by then it's on to the next one.

the sixth game better be fucking good

>Gen dead
>Chun Li dressed kinda like Gen
>Gen taught her how to fight
>Chun is a stance character like Gen now
kino

I-I kneel

I was thinking about the end of 4 today. It was kinda rocky cause Ultra was stop gap with SFxT failing, and another year with no update would probably have worn thin. Elena really could've ruined another year. But man there were good matches coming out at the end. I was always so excited for Snake Eyez Gief to come on. It didn't feel like 4 was ever declining in interest even at the end.

End of 5 just sort of feels like, well we got through it. The casual crowd never really came back around, other games have sucked up a lot of attention. It being a black sheep makes me think some will latch onto an aspect. I just can't see what, even this muh graphics push won't last when the new models are ripped for sfm porn and Ken's face is still a meme.

SF6 so far looks like Tekken mixed with MK11 sprinkled with Fortnite on top of it. It's not looking good at all.

Is SFV slower than IV? I didn't like IV much cause movement felt like molasses

It wasn't even a good game until nearly 2 years after launch, and it wasn't a notably good game until about 5 years after launch. I won't take anything away from his much work they put in over time to improve it, especially how much the post-Ono team improved the game, but the lesson learned from V was clear: launch with a game worth what you're charging, even if you intend on updating it for years after, and it seems they actually learned that.

Can you elaborate on that? I enjoy SFV now after all the updates, but the game in its current state has been around for maybe a year, only a couple months in terms of the final major rebalance. If it helps, I've primarily used Alex, Abigail & Gill when I have played the game.

which is exactly why i will only buy sf6 when it's final season arrives. i got burned way too badly by sf5.

yes

yes. however you can most of the time keep pressure on and never really lose it.
