Was Louis seen as a token nigger back in 2008?
Also, is it me, or do the regular zombies sound different in Blood Harvest (fourth campaign)?

Bump.

L4D is a callback to 90s action movies, so yeah technically he's the token black guy but just like the old 90s action movies people actually liked him.

Louis looks half chinese in this image

Giga chigga

PILLS HERE

>Was Louis seen as a token nigger back in 2008?
Yes

>Was Louis seen as a token nigger back in 2008?
No. I remember playing the demo to L4D and then the full game and discussing the game online. Literally don't remember a single time where anyone made a big deal out of Louis being black. He was just seen as the character he was.

Funny you say that. Coach and Louis don't even register in my mind as being black they were just good characters

Maybe you discussed the game in the wrong places.

Louis was funny pills guy

No, at this point Any Forums wasn't as focused on political shit

or maybe I'm not a zoomer and I actually was around. The whole thing about niggers and women in videogames didnt start until after that piece of shit anita sarkeesian got popular. Unitl then devs didnt put niggers in games for representation, they put them in because they had a character for them.

He's supposed to be the "TV salesman" trope, e.g. one of the main protagonists of Dawn of the Dead or the protag of Shawn.
It's less about him being Black, even if the pills thing was funny.

gen z confirmed

>t. zoomer LARPing as boomer
Okay zoomer.

No. Any Forums wasn't a thing and as such the amount of political snowflakes were basically null.

He was PILLS HERE.

Why did you confirm that you're a lowercase gen Z faggot?

this team from 1 was better then the team from 2

roftlechopper! it goes zoom zoom zoom! Get raped and pawned!!1

He's literally Shaun, but a black guy. Notice how valve handled their diversity, back then. Very clever, unlike most developers now who will do the opposite.
