game gear was better than game boy, psp was significantly better than ds.

>game gear was better than game boy
It failed because it had a battery life of less than two hours and ate expensive AA batteries at impressive rates if you weren't tethered to a wall.
>PSP
We can all agree but only because of its piracy potential.

>battery life
irrelevant to library
>muh psp piracy
irrelevant to library.

library always wins.

Vita is the best once you softmod it

Incorrect. That's just your nostalgia talking.

SP was the only one of those that wasn't shitty

>irrelevant to library
100% related to library, who cares about the games if you can't beat them on one, two, even twenty charges?
>irrelevant to library.
How does the fact you can pirate another console's library on your console not elevate it's library tenfold

in short PSP is the best. It could emulate literally every handheld in OP.

>How does the fact you can pirate another console's library on your console not elevate it's library tenfold
This was pretty cool, but it always make me laugh how people basically say "this Sony's console is awesome, it can play Nintendo games!"

The Gameboy pocket was really good for its time. It could last on two AAA batteries for a month of nonstop play and the fact that it WAS a gameboy that fit in your pocket was a huge selling point.
Granted realistically the only pocket it fit comfortably in were JNCOs, which were the style in the 90's.

>100% related to library
What game is batteries? stfu retard.
>another console's library
not made for the platform, nice feature but irrelevant to the PSPs library.

handheld gaming will peak when it will reach 90% of the market.
soon

>checking circuit city website every hour for SP stock availability and finally getting it
Take me back bros

GBA is still so nice to hold compared to anything modern

>psp was significantly better than ds.
this.
I know you could and can get iso for the games but, I realized this a day after I bought a game from game stop. So I ripped it saved the ISO so it worked with out the UMD then returned the game lol.
And the rest is history lol. PSP jap shit was really fun. DS can die in a fire,.

the vita is comparatively ergonomic imho

>What game is batteries? stfu retard.
What games are you going to buy if you keep expending your money on batteries?

>Sony killed their handheld because of mobile gaming
Why are they so fucking stupid

Sony is a dying ship, the only thing keeping them alive is the Playstation. And even that only survives on brand recognition and heavy marketing, not quality.

>DS can die in a fire
>If I think A is better than B then B is worthless and deserves no attention

legit question, no intent to flame or instigate, but with the steam deck costing as close as a console and basically being a PC(meaning it has thousands upon thousands of games in its library), hasn't it already reached 90% of the market?
it might be a niche product for now, but the product in itself already reached what can be done, no?

i meant in a "90% of PCs on the market being handheld PCs" kind of way

DS was better

>"90% of PCs on the market being handheld PCs!
that will never happen
as much as im enjoying my deck, there will always be a vast majority of PC players who won't ever settle for the kind of performance it provides(even newer models will never reach the same performance of desktop counterparts of the time)

dios mio. el console de negro

we'll see
