I agree
controversial take to have here
also agree
Honestly OP, I agree with you.
>inb4 Any Forums goes into "ackshually SH2 is overrated"
Super Mario Bros did it first.
>never played any silent hill game
>just watched some youtuber talk about it
>love this game anyway and is in my top 10 list
Any other GIGACHADS like me out there?
no, I played them all unlike you.
But I respect your taste and opinion.

SH2 is overrated in the sense that it isn't a better video game than 1 or 3. Still solid in its own right, just the least good of a legendary trilogy.
it's probably because SH1 and 3 share the same plotline, while 2 feels like a spinoff
I sort of agree, though I honestly hold SH1 and 2 equally in high regard. Aside from Heather being a good protag, I never understood the fanfare over 3.
I appreciate how 2 such a departure from 1 instead of going with the same thing and playing it safe, which I guess was what 3 kinda was. 3 is still great.
I really see it as a perfect trilogy. Probably the best horror trilogy ever even for any medium.
It's because 2 is incredibly easy and generally lacking in imposing enemies compared to the other 2. It's all sad and shit but aside from Pyramid Head it almost might as well be a walking sim.
>art form
ahaha just shut the fuck up
u a bitch
>lacking in imposing enemies
now that you mention it, you're right.
I don't remember having a hard time against any enemy, even on the hardest "action difficulty" setting available compared to 1 and 3. Wrere I had to run away most of the times because some monsters were an actual waste of time and resources (AKA a threat).
Didn't Deus Ex do that a year earlier? Or you could go back to the 90s with stuff like I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream.
As I always say — the man who does not believe that video games can be art has never played Silent Hill 2
A lot of games from that era did, the games that came out then were way more artistic and creative than anything out now in the current year, I exclusively play games from the late 90s/ early 2000s for this very reason. I can’t get enough of it.
Why didn't they make this into a movie instead of SH1?
