So my suggestions are Knights of Azure and the Atelier games.

You can grind in it. It doesn't have crafting though. Gear is obtained via chests or "farming" via planting crystals in dungeons and coming back to them later.

The first death;end was great desu, but the second one is a massive drop in quality. It isn't bad just nowhere near as good
