Emulators are too untrustworthy. How many games have you beaten on an emulator?

Pcsx2 don't trust the anti emu trannies here.

sometimes the devs just put their emulator with the rom as "pc version" so look out for that

Always use original hardware, always.

ps2 emu
ps2 ports always end up weird

Depends on the game. Some ports are perfect, but other times you actually get a better result emulating. Do your research.

PS2 emulator, I like uncapped frame rates for zoomin

>other times you actually get a better result emulating
name 5 examples

>game that has a specialized port made for it
vs
>game that is run through a one-size-fits-all emulator and overrun with bugs

the first one is obvious

Sidonia sequel when?

>console ports
>specialized

they're special, alright...

mgs2
kingdom hearts

The story ended in the movie.

I somehow didn't notice it had released and that it was already on nyaa, thanks user

PS2 with OPL
Ideally I would have kept burning discs and playing them on my chipped PS2, since there were 0 compatibility problems with that, but lasers don't last forever.

I'll never forget when I saw someone say that emulation is jank by default because games aren't meant to be emulated. That's why individual ports are always better.

Game without fog = PC
Game with fog = Emu
Simple as

Digital Foundry released a video today about how it's not that simple. Do research before blindly choosing.

How many breads have you eaten?

i remember i played DQ5 ps2 port all the way up to like the last 4 hours
hit a bug with the emulator and had to stop playing

depends
was the pc version made around the same time as the ps2 game?
or are we talking about a "faithful remaster" of the original ps2 game?
it will make a difference on how I answer

I ran into a game-stopping bug in Etrian Odyssey Nexus as well even though it's claimed to be "perfect" to emulate.
You haven't really beaten that many games on emulator, have you?

you'll find similar bugs on native hardware as well.
the GBA port of I&II is notorious.

Whatever my pc can run, of course.
