Doing the same shit everyday just to get the chance to pull a character with 3 different moves after every 3~4 months of farming.

To roll on them requires wishes, which you can obtain from the Paimon's Bargains on a monthly basis, events, spending primogems, or swiping. To get more primogems, you play the game as usual, do certain quests and commissions, open chests, do events, etc. or just outright buy them. The banners change every couple of weeks depending on the patch and some characters will eventually get re-runs at some date, so if you aren't going to whale or spend money, save up for whatever character you want most.

The limited character banner will usually feature 3 different 4 star characters along with the chances of getting the featured 5 star character. If you hit the jackpot of getting a 5 star, you will get them at a 50/50 chance. If it fails, the next 5 star you roll (guaranteed within 90 rolls, usually no more than 70 at shit luck) will be them 100% certain. Getting copies of the character will give you a "constellation" which usually gives them QoL changes or power spikes in their performance compared to having only 1 copy of them.

Mona you have to reroll or get lucky. Yoimiya you have to wait until she comes back in rate up

Both are 5-star characters, so you need 90 rolls for a guaranteed chance to get a character from this tier.
If you start now and explore the world, you should get enough rolls before the next patch.
