NV's writing had SOUL. You can tell that the plot and the dialogues were written by someone who CARED about Fallout

To bad it was short on talent. The guy that did the survivalist was an exception. His use of terminals and the environment to tell the story put him in Emils class as writers who understand the medium they work in. In this particular case he may have exceeded Emil.
It was that damn good.

Fallout 1 is by far the best Fallout game.

I wouldn't want Obsidian to work on a new Fallout after the disaster that was Outer Worlds. I would be fine with any other studio making a spin off as long as Avellone is involved

Yeah if you're a contrarian. 1 is like riding a bicycle while 2 is a luxury car.

1 is leagues better in terms of story and world building.
2 may have improved gameplay but that's hardly an argument since they are both incredibly archaic.
