I read one of these "studies" and funny thing is. The study counts things for the victim perspective, so like "x got slapped" instead of "y slapped x" and also has different standards to what constitutes domestic violence for men and women. So a woman slapping a man doesn't count for example, this makes "straight" domestic violence low, it makes gay domestic violence even lower. Not to mention even things like insults during an argument count as DV, but only if the victim is a woman of course.

This got to be a feminist troll I if ever saw one. Lesbians get some shit, but then gay male couples get a good image and straight men literally have no rights, and the people that spread the study the most are straight men themselves. Crazy times.

I looked up the stat to see what it was about. It wasn't that 55% of lesbian relationships are abusive, there actually isn't a lot of data gathered about rates of abuse in lesbian relationships. It was from a study on women in abusive relationships and among the ones who happened to be in lesbian relationships 55% experienced XYZ type of abuse. It said the most common type of physical abuse was slapping, but actual beatings were rare.
