Fromsoft bullshit has always been so lukewarm to me. When you actually get kicked around by shit like NG2 on MNM for 10 playthroughs barely feeling like you improved each time doing all those dumb tests of valor too and not upgrading your max life bar to save full heals for late game you understand some form of pain. And even then that doesn't compare to people who play shit like Sunder in Doom 2. Even women can beat Malenia.

I can dodge her bullshit comfortably now but that doesn't discount her from being a bullshit boss.

Her fight was easier to me than shit like maliketh or whore lou but thats mostly due to the fact that i had like 15 fps fighting those fags and just used mimic tear against them becuase i simply couldnt be fucking bothered. I've beaten malenia without major cheeze, using it against those two frame-killers was justified

My FPS only drops during Godfrey's first phase for some reason.

She is vicious but at least she doesn't AoE effect spam the whole arena.

If you take the time to learn them she has about 6 moves in the first phase and maybe 10 in the second. It gets boring but eventually you just know them and beat her.

Bleed is shit on her, she becomes resistant quickly. Frost is better but even better still you want a high poise breaking weapon.

Grav magic and flies stunlock her but colossals can smack her around too. Then just have some ranged spell for her flower move and she's beatable.

Just use the journo mode mechanics and move on.

you CAN do it. it's a fair fight, you don't even need cheese. Keep your distance as much as possible, punish only when it's guaranteed.

I literally beat her first time, she has so little health burst damage fucks her.
Radagon/Elden Beast took me 4 attempts.

I was more thinking of Mohg. Kino boss but i just didn't enjoy doing his second phase, the whole arena was just fucking annoying blood flame.

I'm sad she didn't have a fucknasty parry to really break some balls. Still one of the only true walls in the game

I hate how she can start slowly walking, doing nothing, and suddenly whip out her hyperarmor attacks when I go in.
Puts me in the boot of every boss I cheesed with parries. Speaking of, how are parries against her?

You need to get three parries to riposte her. In that time you could have staggered her normally with usual attacks and done more damage. To me if a boss needs THREE parries to riposte and they have fast attacks I just fight them normally. Fair parriable encounters like Crucible Knights, Bell Bearing Hunters or Godskin Nobles that only take one to riposte are what I whip out a Roundshield for.

Just like Morgott yeah? I ended up poisetanking him but I doubt that'll work with Malenia.

Aoe spam that can be, of all things, jumped over and straight up becomes and opening to jump attack while the enemy is still in their active frames. I see no reason to complain about that. Malenia requires you to either luck out on which poise window attack pattern she uses or set your controller to mash roll while you jerk off in a corner until it's your turn.
