humor ages poorly in general

OWB was always unfunny reddit humor.

what's an example of timeless humor? It's inherently disposable and ever-changing.

Only humor based on violating social norms ages well. If the average person found it funny then it would start to lose its appeal and become "reddit humor"

Pic Unrelated to what you're implying. But reliance on direct references or low lifespan memes from reddit on twitter.

Bingo?

It was bad to begin with, you just grew up and realized it. I remember thinking old world blues was the best new Vegas dlc on release, but after my final 340 hours playthrough with about 300 mods that spanned my entire 2020 summer I'd rank it even worse than honest hearts.

When I was a kid I thought games like Monkey Island series and Day of the Tentacle were the funniest shit ever, today I couldn't even get through them because almost every character and attempt at humor is terribly forced and actually not funny.
I unironically find games like Darkseed 2, Harvester or even Mystery of the Druids (which are supposed to be horror games) way funnier and aged better than any Lucasarts adventure game.

Euthydemus (your mom jokes)

Tom screaming.

>what's an example of timeless humor?
The first few seasons of the online webshow "Beer & Board Games" feels pretty timeless to me. It's been a full decade now and those early episodes still mostly crack me up.
If you're going to watch it skip the first few episodes were it's just the two autistic brothers, the show really finds its footing when it moves to a 4-person dynamic in the Dark Tower episode.

>340 hours
Get a life

can't refute that.
I'll give them a watch, insomnia can suck a dick.

Slapstick is timeless

Fuck you tranny
Don’t you ever fucking reply to be again I’ll fucking kill kill you and your whole god damn family

I remember having to work so hard to convince a friend of mine to watch Airplane!. He was adamant it can't be funny because "It's so old." I eventually sat him down and made him watch it and he laughed his ass off the whole way through it and then thanked me for forcing him to watch it. And then everyone clapped.

Is this timeless humor? I wonder if younger people can find carnivals funny specially if they've never been to one or are opposed to those because 'making fun of people with disabilities' etc etc

apex based

You're right, they should rereleases this game with all the sprites run through a scaler and all the carnie voices replace with a random black man from off the street. And then make sure you can't buy the original, just to be safe.

This is another "HL2 was bad" trap. People consume something like Rick and Morty or lolrandom reddit posts then try OWB for the first time, a decade after its release, and the humour falls flat because they've seen it all before in later iterations of the style.

And everyone's name? That's right.

Albert Einstein.
