Depends on what you mean by 'cool'.

I don't think there have been any cool or "edgy" games in a while like there were in the 2000s. Maybe Cruelty Squad? Never played it but kinda looks like it.

Mainstream ones? Stuff with a budget? Very rarely.
I'm sure there's good indie stuff released fairly often, but there's 50 shovelware titles released every minute so good luck finding one.
That age is over. People explored, they conquered, they retired.

It's possible, but it has to pass the woke crowd approval. Can't have racist, neutrally philosophical or politically motivated characters in games even when it would add to character development.
