You made children PICK UP WOOD
You went TOO FAR
You are LITERALLY HITLER
You made children PICK UP WOOD
>accepting that throwing all of our city's dead into a frozen pit so they can be salvaged later is the logical and pragmatic choice
>also accepting that I probably shouldn't have built that pit in the middle of Main Street where every surviving member of the city will be forced to walk past it every morning on the way to work.
Is automation the way, or a sin?
The line is literally just going full fascism/fanaticism by picking either end-of-the-tree option
No different than a cemetery really
>Soup again
Scenario's are easy but good. I can't find any endless mode balance between easy as fuck and literally impossible
>you WILL eat the sawdust
>you WILL sleep in the tent
>you WILL report any crimes to the night watch
>and you will be happy
>You made children PICK UP WOOD
bruh I literally allowed prostitution and sent more than 40 kids to die on a coal mine lmao
This game is so fiddly and requires such specific placement of things that it makes Tropico look easy to control. Does the DLC make it better?
I hated it that they were all complaining about not having schools. Like where the fuck do they think they are?
>Killing children in the womb
A-OK
>killing children in a classroom
you went too far bucko
Except they're not buried underground. They're frozen twisted caricatures piled up on top of each other in a heap, as their dead open eyes keep constant watch upon the city in lieu of a loving God.
No
If they didn't want to eat saw dust they should have collected meat faster
Need that % medical buff tho
Just build the bloodsport arena and have the heaters run during work time and people are fine
>constant reminder that you have food tomorrow
>always able to directly remember and see your loved ones
>easier to deal with
>looks bad ass as fuck
cuckmeteries literally cannot compete with Open Pit Chads
>love the steampunk dystopian concept and aesthetic but too retarded to play resource managing games
No the pit's great. We love the pit. Just saying we shouldn't build that shit right next to the post office.
>kitchen needs more meat
>chef has to walk all the way to the coal mines for ingredients
That's just inefficient city planning
>my own people are fucking dying at like 40 below
>refugees without homes or generators or GIANT HOLES IN THE GROUND are walking across frostland in like -70 no problem
honestly i sent them to die out of spite more than pragmatism.
I only found it hard in the winterhome scenario, mostly because the objective requires you to haemorrhage workers and resources
Friendly reminder that if they’re not putting their weight into keeping the city running, they’ll be joining those in the pit.
>People needing to use cemeteries and child labor
Git gud
>engineers scenario
>sign frostitutes into law and force the worker that came to warn us about new london into being the town cumdump
>I FUCKING HATE SOUP! I'M GONNA FUCKING RIOT!
the heat actually only matters for like 4 or 5 hours and people can literally be freezing and no one cares for the rest of the day. I forget the specific times but its pretty easy to save early coal by just micro managing when people need the generator running
I'm not letting those little shits sit around doing nothing all day.
if you just love the concept and aesthetic then use cheat engine
I got filtered by this game. More or less. I finally made it to the second (or was it third?) big cold wave and it just fucked my shit up, even though I was floating on people/resources. Idk the game's just not very fun to me. Feels like a puzzle game instead of a citybuilder one (probably because it is).
problem is that it takes way too long and way too many resources to make automatons actually viable on a large scale
only really useful on endless mode and that one campaign mission
The last playthrough I had big chunks of my population sitting around doing nothing all day. Automatons break the game when you get 3-4 of them.
I kinda wish they added the hearty meal option to the base game instead of it being exclusive to the Autumn DLC
It'd be nice to actually choose to feed your citizens well in return for bonuses
It's ok children in the womb aren't people.
I attempted this game a bit ago, played it for about 30 minutes. Didn't have much of an idea what was going on. Wound up starving somehow despite my hunters appearing to be working properly, I couldn't gather enough resources to progress while simultaneously gathering enough coal to keep the generator running. My population didn't seem to change so I'm not sure what happened. Don't feel like it's for me.
>get scouts early
>don't bother with generator range upgrades, just get the secondary generators and building heating
>automatons are amazing
>child labor sucks ass
>don't micromanage too hard early game, workers spend time traveling back and forth
Religion or Fascism?
For me, it's Religion, the best societal control.
The fascist side has cool flags though
download it again and follow these tips. Early gathering huts on coal and wood. they keep you from needing hospital resources. Learn when you need coal and when you dont. You can spam emergency shifts and by the time you get ideology you will demolish the discontent from your early abuse.
>saw mills
fucking trash, just micro manage your wood for wall drill. you dont need to house everyone at first, its a massive waste of wood. wall drills also never need upgrades because of how plentiful wood is from scouting. dont worry about heat from upgrades because you can just automaton it when its cold.
>engineers
research is paramount. you need to get scouting and efficient gathering. coal will last you forgoddamn ever so its not really necessary for a while to get a coal related tech. I think thumpers are just better than coal mines since you only get a couple of steam cores pre-tesla city. its preference really. you should have at least half your engies researching and always emergency shift them early on if you can afford it.
>scouting
scout early, get scout upgrades, its so important to maximize early wood intake. Outposts are nice but the only one thats really necessary is tesla, maybe coal. Getting population usually isnt as helpful as you think because most workers just end up building stuff during the day or going hunting huts.
>storage
you need a lot of fucking storage post londoners dude.
religion on endless
order everything else
