just beat dark souls

has anyone tried DXVK on windows?
i tried to play bayonetta with it, but it made the game run a lot worse

nah, only use it in Linux, haven't heard anything for it in Windows.

Whatever I want. In other words, pretty much just '90s games. My taste in entertainment is not useful for marketing Linux gaming to normies. Does Fortnite work yet? Don't know, don't care.

Everything, barely any games that DON'T work on Linux nowadays.

Same but for '00s.

Days gone. Had to change launch options because of studdering

some princess maker 2 of course what else is there to play in this day and age?

Would be Ubuntu a good beginner choice?

good times. I played True Love all the time.

Go with Pop!_OS instead if you want what used to be the Ubuntu experience. Modern Ubuntu is commercial shit with ads, telemetry and a proprietary app store.

how often do you have to use winetricks to install something?

I only saw bad things about Pop!_OS. That it can break your desktop if you install things like steam.
So no good for gaming.

How the fuck do I install MGS2 GOG Version on Steam Deck?

winetricks is just a gui for installing wine ms components like directx versions so never i just install all my requirements via terminal guis are 4 niggers

what do you mean?
you should just be able to make it a non steam game and let proton do all the work

The idiot who made that video had to manually use CLI package manager and acknowledge its warning that they're doing harmful stuff. That's basically on the level of idiocy comparable to manually deleting system32 in Windows. This does not happen in normal use.

So Pop!_OS is not a bad os?

Just found out about Raze and it's bretty gud having everything in one program rather than using eduke and nblood etc...

I tried doing that with the setup.exe and it installed but won't start. I did change the path to the game.exe even tried V's fix. Shit won't start.

You shouldn't expect issues like that one to happen on any mainstream GNU/Linux distro. Pop!_OS is basically a less harmful version of Ubuntu otherwise. It's okay, but not my personal choice.

thx. I will try out Pop!_OS.

how do you install directx from the command line?
