The only thing that could make a remake of DX1 worth playing would be if they added back in a bunch of the cool cut content that was slashed for time during development of the original. Moon mission with an AI, the White House with the president's clone, Texas border skirmish shit, etc.
But because this is the gaming industry we're talking about it's more likely that a remake of DX1 would instead chop content out and have less than the original released with.

It was one of the game licenses Embracer got from Square, like a month ago. They also got Tomb Raider so with THQ's recent track record it's most likely going to be remakes first to drum up interest and then hit us with new entries.

Yeah no, they aren’t gonna put out a game like Deus Ex in current year, at absolute best it will be like Human Revolution, good gameplay but ultra tame with the conspiracy stuff. They will never namedrop the Rothschilds ever again.
