So which one is it, user?
What's the game franchise you loved that crashed and burned to the ground?
So which one is it, user?
Does Lunar count?
I actually bought Dragon Song out of obligation, but... Eh.
Titanfall
Halo
Transformers games
Literally all of them.
whats wrong with it
Golden Sun
dead rising
Halo
Mass Effect
Running in the overworld drains HP, you can't manually target enemies in combat, and equipment breaks constantly making it useless.
battlefield
but that was over a decade ago, so i'm kind of over it by now
Sounds pretty based
Surprisingly, not Street Fighter
I don't know what's worse watching one beloved franchise get ruined or another beloved franchise completely disappear
Holy shit, i remember that game, what the fuck were they thinking?
I wish I could've told my kid self to avoid Pokemon. It would've saved me a lot of pain down the road.
Sometimes, dead is better.
beat me to it
Don't forget that you can only get items or experience, never both.
Castlevania, it has been a while so the wound has healed, the scar remains though
DK has been given a decent swan song with TF so it thankfully has escaped this fate
I fear for metroid though, Dread was good but i feel prime4 might fuck everything up
I've spent so long just accepting that the franchise is garbage now that I'm not ready to like it again until the game's well and fully out, been down that road plenty of times before
Does wasted potential count?
TF2's cast of characters and top tier writing and world made it perfect for it to be expanded on. If any other company owned TF2 it would have FPS sequels, a fighting game, spin-offs, a TellTale game and so on.
But not only it just didn't, I got to live long enough to see the base game get ruined and burnt to the ground by Valve's own apathy.
Unreal Tournament.
Tribes
Dead is ALWAYS better. As you get older and keep getting your heart broken, you realize nothing is better than a dignified death
Final Fantasy
All of them.
All things must end some day, even the good things. I think it's better for a franchise to end suddenly with a great track record than to fade away into mediocrity.
DUDE WHAT A REPLY HAHAHAHAHA
THE WIT TO THINK OF THAT. Need to let my brothers on leddit know about this stuff! Time to watch 4 middle age men cry that every movie doesn't have hammy comedy.
