IT'S HAPPENING

EX-STARCRAFT DEVELOPERS MAKING RTS GAME

>EX-STARCRAFT DEVELOPERS

What does that mean exactly? A couple of guys who worked on Starcraft many years ago doesn't mean they can make a new game that's actually good.

How do you know it’s rts?

grey goo deja vu

Finally one of these ex blizzard devs are gonna show a game

RTSbros... we're going home

The goo was such a fun idea for a faction shame about everything else

LET'S FUCKING G-
>RTS
noone cares lol

They're being funded by Epic Games so it'll be EGS exclusive.

Cant be as bad as aoe 4 right?

Good, fuck Steam cucks

Don't care until it's proven good. RTS has been dead for too long.
>Looks at crew
>Most of their accolades are late WC3 DLC and all of SC2
>One of them even brazenly labels themself as working on WC3 Reforged
No way fag.

>Fuck corporation
>I love other corporation!

>Cant be as bad as aoe 4 right?
The StarCraft-formula is already worse so...

Enjoy playing against bots because nobody buys the game lmao.

>teases elden ring for like a year
>actually gets to be the one to reveal it
>game sells 50 trillion copies and is a huge hit

did geoff peak here?

>ex-dev makes [genre they were known for].
Burned by too many hacks. I'll believe it when I actually see it. Name alone isn't good enough anymore.

SC2 was a great RTS

I wonder if they won't completely rip off Warhammer again. Anything that remotely involves Blizzard should be ignored.

>a team of veterans making a comeback
>it always ends up with them making the most retarded decisions in a comeback

Why the hell does it always keep happening? It has happened countless of times, with Megaman being the worst example of that.

It wouldn't have gotten off the ground if it wasn't for its name. The lackluster campaign would have just driven players away at release. And the MP was made for those who already played SC.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

STARCRAFTBROS...
JUNE 9TH!

remember hellgate london?

>ex-sc2 and wc3 devs
>only like one of them actually worked on game systems

none of them helped with BW, the real game

>lackluster campaign

shit taste

>ex-developer of a game you once loved makes new game!

Name one good game that has ever come of this.

>Interesting sci-fi setting
>3-4 races
>Low to no gimmick abilities
>No hero or super units
>3 resources to gather
>fast pace but not as fast as sc2 because watching armies die in 1 second isn't good
>no deathballing
That's all I need

>new teams
>veteran developers
???

I miss the Generals/Dawn of War age when RTSses were starting to go full 3D and you bought infantry units in squads instead of just one dude.

>RTS game
>2022
People will play it for a week and then realize that RTS genre is a dead and stagnated genre.

It was babbies first RTS campaign. Finished the entire thing on max difficulty with just one map restart and without saving. I do not remember one other RTS that didn't have at least a some super hard missions.

It was "fine" but it had nowhere near the staying power of SC1s simplicity where even me, at the time like 12 years old, could figure out and theorize somewhat advanced mechanics in custom game maps.

They did some half-unique things in the campaigns I guess but they were ultimately just bad. WOL was literally the best because it starts like a real SC campaign but spirales out of control into a wankfest because they rapidly wanted to tie off the SC story so they could forget about it. I especially hated the Protoss campaign for having so many fucking time trials it was just annoying to get all the collectibles that were linked to the external unit/building upgrades.

Everyone knew 4 was a soulless cash grab from the start

terran campaign is not beatable on brutal without decent baselevel macro knowledge, being mad that you're ok at the game seems weird

They made it stagnated. The removed all aspects of complexity except micro for their gookclicker market.

Was there attrition, unit supply upkeep, projectile physics with obstacles, randomized maps, city building, morale systems, complex economy, dynamic resource placement and allocation? It should be called Arcade RTS in the vein of Arcade Racing.
