I looked up the show's TV Tropes page. That fiery patch was made by Darth Vader by igniting flammable material with his lightsaber while a defeated Obi Wan was lying in it. He then decided burning to death was too good for him so he extinguishes the flames surrounding Obi Wan and then sends a Trooper to collect him for further torture in space.

Oh and to add to this - there are immersive games and sims that will give you all the options but the REAL ones are low fidelity and abstract for obvious reasons so you wouldn't even play them to begin with because all you want is your swoosh bing bing pop fischerprice experience.
