I finally tried it out after my first 3 years in stardew and the game is pozzed as hell. Eveything is so lifeless and nonsensical, why can you rock-paper-scissor everyone in town at all times? The voice acting is uninspired and makes the game worse. Even worse some characters have voice acting and others just default noises with each letter. Pozzed is the name of the game, one of the receptionists in this game is faggiest sissy faggot you can come up with. That alone is enough to drop the game, what a disappointment.

I think Rune Factory 4 has several things in common with Stardew Valley, but it is much more focused on action/combat which is pretty fun and decent.
There are a lot of girls to marry and they are well written too.
But the game itself, the overall feel, is radically different from Stardew Valley. There isn't the Sandbox aspect either.

Huh, funnily enough I'm in the middle of playing this game right now, I'm almost 1 month into year two, just finished building the bridge to the desert, and doing the mini dungeon after that, I tell you though, the game is infinitely more comfy when you turn game speed to 50,
I have so much more time to collect things, fish, mine, and hang out with villagers every day, it feels more like old harvest moon like this.
Also I love Ginger, and I want to protect her.

to add on to this I never felt the need to use stamina items, as the day would be over before you used all your stamina, now I have to manage stamina items to continue fishing / mining.
the game at 100% speed is way too fast, I spent most of my time trying to minmax and go fast with almost everything I did, now it's much more laid back.

let me give you some serious life advice user. How good a game is, is proportional to the amount of porn and/or memes there is of it. If you see some shill thread on Any Forums, or a steam sale, or a twitter tranny with a bluecheck mark talking about some super obscure indy gem and you think to yourself 'hey, maybe il try that'. Just stop. Go to your favorite anime booba site, your favorite booru, dip into the panda and search for it. If theres no porn, then the game is shit. The characters are so unlikeable that nobody wants to fuck them. If theres mountains of porn, then you can at least rest assured theres SOMETHING compelling people to want to fuck them so that game is probably alright.
