I liked AI because it was drastically better than ZTD and it had the familiar formula I loved about ZE.

It also made me realize that Uchi never lost his mojo. He could've made ZTD great and he let us all down. He was better than that piece of shit.

I'm skeptical on how good it's going to be as I didn't like mizuki in AI. Date's back which is a lil reassuring, but with him going into this after his last game "world end club" was a massive disappointment, I'm really worried about whether it will be good or not. The best I can ask for is some laughs and good music.

Kodaka was the main driving force behind World End Club, Uchikoshi and Nakazawa were beholden to him and had to write within his guidelines.

It's like with ZTD, when he was forced to share the main job with others, it suffered.

AI was Kotaro directing and writing plus an assistant director, Akira Okada.
AI NirvanA Initiative is Akira Okada directing and Kotaro Uchikoshi writing and advising Okada on the side. He can't directly direct due to him being part of TooKyo Games now

as long as it's JUST Uchikoshi writing without being tied to directing alongside others, it always turns out consistent and good.
ZTD had multiple writers, and only Uchikoshi's part (D-Team) was good
WEC had multiple directors, with Uchikoshi being relegated to less important co-director, which also suffered

More games like this and ZE? And I don't mean straight up VNs, something with gameplay/puzzles.

i hope theres a Boss route. Was massively disappointed to see that the first didn't have it but at least now the "new" characters in the sequel dont have stupid kid characters as main routes (probably)
