After playing both betas, this game is worth $30 at the most.
A fun dumb game with fuckhuge buttons to play with non-fighting game friends while drunk.

Vanguard
Hoping for Skirmisher dlc
PS4 probably since PS5 games (mainly unreal engine 5 on ps5) have more input lag.

why are so many people convinced it's "too simple"

we barely got 2 betas with no training mode and D/C issues.

Let the game drop and ppl figure stuff out.

They can figure out whatever they want, they won't magic up more interesting defense mechanics and ways to enforce right/left mix-ups.
Optimizing combos and dumb shit like Inquisitor's guard crush string in training mode will SHRINK the decision space for a game this shallow, I guarantee it.

why do people think they can figure out a game so quickly lol.

Swift Master just cause Male Mage. Hope he's good and that I can click with his play style.
Will still probably rock Ranger on occasion too.

>MAINS
not witch or monk despite them being perfect for a 1 on 1 fighting game because the devs are faggots and just put in the most played classes in the mmo
>EXPECTATIONS
dead in a week because its too anime for neutral players, too neutral for anime players, and too korean for everyone
>WHAT PLATFORM WE GETTING IT ON?
you're part of the problem if you get fighting games on ps4/5

Vanguard
Hopefully a fun game
PC

>right/left mix-ups
UNI has crossup protection despite not having a block button and people manage to put people into fucked up mixups anyway. most anime game crossups are just tagging someone on the head with something that leads into nothing (but would easily lead into something with this games big buttons + conversion mechanic) outside of dedicated teleport moves or the melty blood special of jumping over someone and airdashing backwards which only a few people have

the mixups and more importantly the guard crush pressure seemed more then enough from what I played of the beta

>not witch or monk despite them being perfect for a 1 on 1 fighting game because the devs are faggots and just put in the most played classes in the mmo

DLC pass dw

>dead in a week because its too anime for neutral players, too neutral for anime players, and too korean for everyone

Isn't this GBVS's issue? it's an interesting topic. You try to please both camps, end up pleasing none.

When we talk about "neutral" players, we pretty just mean SF players right?

the issue with GBVS is that it was just a bad game and took "neutral focus" to mean "make the game slow and limited" while also having a pretty specific roster where everyone is either the most generic jrpg character or way too anime that it'll make the crowd of "anime used to be good" that would eat up characters like gran turn away

DNF sidesteps this by having crazy moves and mechanics and a roster thats basically just a bunch of archetypes people think are cool since DNF itself was just the devs taking characters they liked and making their OC version of it

>why do people think they can figure out a game so quickly lol.
Because nuGen fighting games are low effort with no depth and/or are not mechanically deep nigger

>most played classes in the mmo
>MSader AND Enchantress (The only buffers)
>MRanger
True. Buffers shouldn't count but true
>Zerk over Weapon Master
FUCKING FALSE
>FLauncher over FMech, FRanger
NOPE!
>No Female Slayer at all despite her being everywhere ingame.
Bullshit.

If that's true, why do certain players keep winning?

Doesn't Idom win SFV?

Doesn't Hotashi do great in Strive?

People always laud new fighters as too shallow but can never answer the question of why there's consistent winners.

>Isn't this GBVS's issue?
no. Granblue had shit netcode, no crossplay, no simultaneous release, and cut the webgame codes from every region but japan. also it had no tournaments and cygames only sees it as a tool to make money so it focuses on new dlc over balance and has shit sales

because it's just a cope people use when they don't like a new game

There are consistent """"""winners""""""" because nuGen players are lazy as fuck. I know niggers that have been buying and playing fighting games for years and they are still trash today whereas I have innovated in certain games. There are others reason like people simply not enjoying the game or too attached to a certain game to care about being good in the latest game. When BBCF got rollback did you not see all the NeGun pros complaining about BBCF being too technical???

>all the old players that played the old games all simultaneously became lazy scrubs and no one who wasn't lazy started playing fighting games since
lmao

If that wasn't the case Yipes and all the other old legends wouldn't have stop playing competitive

>Yipes and all the other old legends wouldn't have stop playing competitive
Yipes is one of the few that stopped, Justin, Sanford, Tokido, Daigo, they are all still playing competitive

J - became a family man
S - Retired. Plays casuals.
T - Got Cancelled
D - Retired plays casuals. Recently announced he's not going to EVO or any other tournaments this year and just wants to relax.

do we even have a full roster yet

Old fighting game weren't for lil niggas. they all got filtered, bitched, maoned about how hard they were. That's why everything is so dry nowadays.
