The jump from 60 to 144 FPS is extremely noticable, but anything above that is dimishing returns territory.

Only drawback is you have to force ultrascreeen resolution in some games

Yeah, it's like the equivalent of a hedonic treadmill, let's say you're used to 60 fps and its perfectly fine, then you get a 144hz monitor and it looks better, but then you get used to it, it's no longer exceptional anymore, it's just the new normal, and when you go back to 60 fps now it looks a lot worse, yet it's not any different to what it was before, it's just the normal has been shifted up, and now you have to get a way stronger graphics card to keep up with it.

Depends on the game.
Slow games are identical at 144 or 60.
Fast competitive games have a huge difference at 144.
You only notice it in normal use becuase your mouse courser is fast.
