I'd say it was dead on arrival when they used the same marketing technique as Infinite Warfare but in hindsight IW was actually a good game when 2042 is dogshit.

Not only removed but also replaced by a shitty hero system. Game devs are really retarded nowaday, I can't envision a bunch of people coming together and get to the conclusion they should remove a major established element of the game just so they can try hop on the hero shooter trend. That barely worked with games whose core principle is this, how do they expect anyone to care about their shitty OCs in a fucking battlefield game?
