I think many people think they're past pressures like this on a theoretical level, but unconsciously still have them to atleast some degree or slip back into behaviour.

Discussing what people like or not like for whatever reason is still fun though. People just tend to make things part of their personality or identity too much. Even on anonymous boards like Any Forums as you do this yourself just as much as a "community" or "society".

Nothing at the moment. The thing that made me realize that I should stop giving a shit is the fact that I liked a lot of what the Sonic Frontiers trailer showed while others didn’t. I tried talking about what I liked with other people but I got swarmed by like 15 faggots that hated what they saw. It really made me feel like an outcast so I figured that if i’m an outcast that I shouldn’t care about what other people think.
