I never understood the appeal of the racing genre. If I'm not coming in first place why even play single player? Outside of multiplayer this genre makes no sense to me.

I played it when I was a kid and had a lot of fun with it. Haven't touched it since tho. You can't deny fuel had soul and stood out from the fuck ton of generic street racing games of the time. Also the vehicle variety/design was great and the races with the severe weather events were a blast. The game was just to big and empty
Oh and you absolutely had to come in first place to progress. None of this casual shit we have now

I wish Sony didn't let motorstorm die. I never got to play it as a kid because I had a xbox, but I remember playing the original at a gamestop and had so much fun with it. Actually ended up buying a PS3 recently just to play the motorstorm games and a handful of other ones I missed out on
