What is the best rhythm game on PC? I've never actually played a Miku game. Are they good or just waifubait and memebait?

It's not good. You should skip it. I don't want you in.
they are entretaining and the songs are catchy, if you wanna waifufag Miku that's up to you.
My favorite Miku game is Project diva 2 tho
Best rhythm game is any IIDX simulator and a Phoenixwan from gamo2.
Now that my elitist comment is out of the way, Project Diva is genuinely great. I own F, F2nd, Future Tone, Megamix, and Megamix+.
Gameplay is solid and ever since Future Tone (aka arcade), the difficulty is enough to keep you playing for a long time. I’ve been playing since 2017. You should play with a PS4 or Xbox controller by the way.
The learning curve is a little difficult, even if you are an avid rhythm game player but you’ll pick up on it.
Anyways yeah Project Diva is genuinely great
Why didn't you just use the already existing thread stupid ironic weeaboo zoomer
How about F/2nd? F2nd is just Extend and 2 combined on top of that better PV, Chance time Scenes.

IIDX

They're alright but with only four real buttons the difficulty primarily comes from their UI where making out what the next note is is much harder than actually executing the inputs. This isn't helped by the multi-button inputs being laid out in a way that matches the arcade game's built in controller which puts the buttons in different places to the console controllers and so playing the home versions results in these button placements being counter-intuitive instead of intuitive as it was in the arcade.
The music is decent but also rather generic / lacking in variety even by rhythm game standards since Sega mostly just went for popular songs.
I like portable games and simple imputs, PD2 has that, is not that I think is the best I just prefer it more than the others, also the songs selection is amazing.
Because this isn't /vg/, retard.
Where's DJMax fall on the scale?
play osu!
No :)
There's not really a "best" rhythm game since they're all just kinda different flavors of the same thing
Just choose one with music you like, really
If that music happens to be vocaloid then go at it
Yeah
"Knockoff IIDX for people too lazy to get IIDX running"
I like Muse Dash a lot. I wish DJ Hero was on PC because I hate using my PS3
touchscreen games
iidx has shit music and shit charts that seldom harmonically scale

Emulate Project Mirai.
Sekiro
Whether or not a rhythm game is good depends 90% on its songs. If you like the songs, you'll love the game. If you don't like the songs, nothing will make you like it, even if it has god-tier difficulty and mechanics.
It's extremely subjective.
If there was a rhythm game that consisted of mumblecore and rap music and it had 10/10 gameplay mechanics, I wouldn't touch it with a 100 foot pole.
I want more EBA/Ouendan, but Osu! isn't enough. I miss the goofy story stuff and a setlist of songs I've not heard before, rather than just getting stuff I already know I want in Osu. Is there any hope for a return of such atmosphere?
It's not this denuvo ridden dog shit that's for sure
this one
