Half-Life should've been an immersive sim
Half-Life should've been an immersive sim
WHEN I WAS
what does my chemical romance have to do with half life
A YOUNG BOY
Any good art of Half-life?, just found this.
>a forced meme
It's no Milhouse.
What do you even mean by that?
>immersive sim
A YOUNG BOY

Give examples as how it'd work.
Define "immersive sim."
We'll see if it's A FORCED MEME.
In the first portal storm
In the first battle
When the cascade first resonated
One stood
He chose the path of perpetual torment
In his ravenous hatred he found no peace
And with boiling blood he scoured the borderworld plains
Seeking vengeance against the xen lords who had wronged him
And those that tasted the bite of his crowbar named him
The One Free Man
Inspired by Ultima Underworld and American developer Warren Spector's design philosophy.
If I were to take a guess, OP is trying to say he wants Half-Life to play like Stalker or System Shock instead. So lots of RPG mechanics.
Why is he wearing a Halo armor?
MY FATHER
>blue and orange contrast
>photoshopped flame
>white Alyx
>Gun from Halo or Crysis
Because zoomer retards can't comprehend something being cool without being bloated fucking shit that hurts your eyes to look at.
immersive sims were a mistake
I know Spector's design philosophy, and his past dog, Maggie. That has nothing to do with first-person shooters on a modified Quake engine.
He's more than twenty years too late, then.
"Immersive sim" is a meme, nothing more.
Never played System Shock but I don't see HL1 and its expansions playing like STALKER unless the maps are heavily modified. Good premise for a mod I guess.
Here's how an immersive sim works:
>there are audio logs which exposit the plot
>1/3rd through the game, you read a note that says "In case you forget, the code to the armory is 0451"
that's all
I wasn't asking what an immersive sim is, I'm asking about how OP would implement that design approach to HL1.
Damn, Not Alyx has sone drumsticks going on.
