Why is it so much better than the Souls games?

Why is it so much better than the Souls games?

it has actual good gameplay for once instead of the usual roll shit

sword clashing feels good.

sword clashing was pretty unique

sword clashing was fun

Nioh 2 is better than anything Fromsoft ever made

The defense mechanic of parry is also offensive since it breaks posture. Instead of playing around a bosses strings you actually go back and forth.

My least favorite thing about Elden Ring is many bosses have a ton of AOE attacks. Combined with the insane input reading it makes it so most bosses are best handled by running around and baiting attacks and then jump slashing. That is unless you want to spend several attempts learning their strings and phases. In sekiro it always feels like you are just as dangerous to the boss as they are to you and the momentum goes both ways

Lol cope. No one likes that soulslike

It was almost great but it was too short and has backtracking
Sekiro 2 with open-world would be my game of the century
I liked it but wish attacks had more force feedback
apparently on ps5 the force feedback is really good. wish they'd bothered on ps4 (unless it was turned off in the beta or something)

>no stamina bullshit
>defense that isn't "rollrollrollroll"
>reasons to press attack buttons other than R1
>weeb theme is more kino than dark western fantasy theme

>open world
opinion is invalid

Not bad, except DMC4 should be B tier

Nioh is shit. Ninja Gaiden Black and II were better than new Team Ninja shit

It wasn't. It was a great game, but really... It wasn't better than the Soulsborne games.

It doesn't play like a slow ass early PS2 game like the souls games do.
Yes but it has a lot of problems still. Mostly in things like stage design but souls games feel like absolute dogshit going to them from NIoh.
>games that play nothing alike are somehow in direct competition with each other
Do you also say Zelda is better than Mario Kart because they're both nintendo you sad fuck

Because the combat is actually skill based and well designed. Souls combat is mediocre, but it's carried by its world, atmosphere, build variety, exploration and discovery.

>open world is inherently bad
kys

lmao2kat becomes canon

tf you on about they have virtually the same gameplay structure except Nioh 2's combat is refined with many different attacks & combos and perfect hitboxes/collision mechanics. Dark souls feels primitive by comparison, and in Sekiro you spam deflect to win

post yfw you aren't a tribalschizo trying to shitpost with X vs Y game and just love sekiro because it's a good game

Why is fromsoft/Myazaki only capable of making a good game when they have someone else supervising them?

You can't even fucking jump in Nioh how the fuck are you going to say it plays like Ninja Gaiden. You do not understand basic mechanics.

It has some of the best and most balanced but challenging bosses in the series.

Due to how combat works it keeps you "in the game"
You really should not be "rolling" away to reset. You want to be in the shit constantly keeping pressure.

Also the sound design in amazing. I've never said anything like that before about a game but god damn the "music" of combat is amazing. "Chanbara"
