Agreed. Rimworld is ugly as shit, has trash performance, and it's not even that good as a colony sim. It's basically just a tower defense game with some light RP elements tacked on. Not an example to follow.

As similar as it is to Rimworld, it is very different. I'd say that despite how much it looks like Rimworld, it's much more akin to Terraria. You have your guy that you play as, and that's it. You can get other people to live in your base if you want, but as far as I can tell, all they do is pay you rent. I've been liking it so far, but I don't know how many more hours I'm realistically going to get out of it.
