Will TERA 2 be a real thing that happens? I don't want to play WoW, FFXIV or Lost Ark

tera was just world of warcraft except w/ straight line zones and you have to look in the general direction of your target instead of tabbing

Throne and Liberty looks pretty good if you're looking for another kr mmo

What the appeal of Elins?

anal only

I wonder why anyone would arrive to that conclusion.

Play PSO2/NGS.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Animal ears I'm guessing

Animal eared girls with thunderous thighs thicker than their waists.
TERA has been whored out to at least a dozen mobile games with the most recent abomination being in the hands of the Chinese who got their grubby mitts on all the game assets, and then decided to turn the Elin faces into ones commonly used in Chinese mobile games:

This Japanese blog post pretty much summarises everything behind the TERA 2 rumour (Geforce leaks, Elyon, and Bluehole Studio's other projects). I could try the Korean title and see if there's anything on that front, but last time I investigated that, I only found the blog of one of the 3D character designers that was helping to design high resolution Elin model mock-ups:

Oh, there's going to be a HIT2; the design of Kiki is pretty much Elin (sans animal ears for elf ears). Anywho, I'll continue my search for Tera2 in Korean.

>mobile

Everything is going to be on mobile, user.
Just like how Oblivion and Skyrim got shackled in their design to be optimised for console, most future games are going to be shackled to mobile; there's just too much money riding on it to do strictly PC services these days.

they are built exclusively for it

Korean internet is surprisingly quiet.
테라2 (Tera 2)
엘린 (Elin)

There's a news report about what I understand to be related to crypocurrency called Tera2 receiving 66.51% votes in favour of it. And some Korean commentators saying they thought the report was talking about Elin Online 2 (엘린온라인2). Then there's a thread about the Korean PC servers shutting down and Mojarin's Elin fan-art, and a Korean commentator mentioning the late Miura Kentaro (Berserk's author) liking Tera and Elin (I never heard about this).

Well, unless someone is a better internet detective, that's probably all there is for the OP's topic about the likelihood of a Tera 2 happening. What else is there to discuss other than an Elin image dump?

we've been joking about tera 2 for most of tera's life span

smartphones were a mistake

The models look good. I hope the ERP scene is big.

Never ever

>making a sequel to a failed mmo
that'd be a terable idea

More importantly, what will you guys be playing now that Elins are going extinct?

Less than 50% of Japanese high school students know how to type on a keyboard. Before touch-screens, Japs were playing 携帯 (Keitai) ports of games like Ys VI on their phones in 2004:

I don't own a smartphone, but with how much Cygames and Mihoyo are pushing them, I wonder if they'll go full circle and have buttons on them (I've given up on these things doing what Nokia did with their phones that had a miniature keyboard).
