Kreia never wanted you to follow her advice. The entire point of her shitting on your choices was to force you to commit to them more completely, and stand behind them. It didn't matter what you chose, there are positives and negatives to every choice, the point is to make the choice and commit. It's spelled out very clearly during the "Apathy is death." scenes.
