Nioh isn't as complex as people try to make it seem. I'm a moron and I was fucking amazing at it. I mostly used spear and regular ass katana. heavy weapons make shit easy too. The easiest weapons are tonfa and fists though. The enemies have no time to breathe. It's hilarious.

Nioh is really as complex as you want it to be. The strength of the game is that it actually has endgame content to test both your gear and skills to the absolute limit, so people are going to be biased towards squeezing out every bit of performance from their weapons. Having a healthy mix of active skills and stances is undeniably better than otherwise.
