game pass allows indie devs guaranteed profit and recognability, something they lacked all these decades. MS either funds the dev process, grants a lump sum for GP access or both sometimes.
I'd say it only hurts AA titles maybe if they are not gettinf compensated by MS already and huge MS games games that'd have already sold millions but I'm sure they adjusted the price and amount of subs for that expected loss

Not him, but you used to be able to get 2 months and an energy drink for 50 cents. Or 3 months and a can of Pringle for $1. Most recently was a bag of sour candy and a month for $1. Best I know of right now is 50 days for $9. So if he used the best case, $3 for a year, looking at $10.

Yep. It wasn't the live service, dlc, micro transactions, always online, daily chores, or battle passes that killed gaming. It was gamepass all of a sudden.
