Has anyone here played the pc port? I just fought Phantom Ganon and he died in one hit after he got off his horse. I thought I had discovered some kind of easter egg where he died instantly to the broken giant's knife but then I reloaded the game and he died just as easily with the Master Sword

Yeah it's a nice theory, but along with a lot of stuff in Zelda, it's probably going to be speculation forever, which is fine. Zelda was never meant to have super deep lore or even a well-developed timeline. A lot of that stuff was tacked on as the series grew. It is neat that there are so many hints to speculate, and really I like the Zelda timeline like it is, with plenty of room for speculation and analysis

I've played through the PC Port, and I don't think it's normal for him to die in one hit. However, iirc, you can pretty much kill him in about three hits after the horse phase.

The only time we had two Links being related to each other by blood was in OoT/Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. The Hero of Time is confirmed ancestor of the Hero of Twilight. Now, that Hero of Twilight Link is a rancher. If the Hero of Time fucked Zelda, he'd be a prince, not a random rancher. The only ranch in Hyrule was run by Malon's family. Therefore, it stands to reason he settles down on that ranch. Of course, this is not at all a given, someone from OoT Link's descendants could have settled down with a rancher instead of literally him. But one thing IS a given, he never fucked Zelda, so she's the second best shot he has.

This, by the way, is the reason why usually, Links aren't descendants of each other. Because by setting, Zelda must be the princess. If a Link fucks Zelda, and Links are also to be descendants of each other, that means Link and Zelda will become siblings. So yeah. They might be royalty, but incestuous heroes aren't going to fly with such a mainstream audience. To avoid this conundrum, OoT Link gets the short end of the stick and is the one that canonically never gets to fuck a Zelda. Through his sacrifice, the rest of Links can now fuck Zeldas.
