Cope

Does it really? Is it worth upgrading from an RX570 to this? Or should I go for the 6600XT/6700?

>4GB VRAM in 2022

the problema with amd cards is that AMD has terrible support for their drivers, making it hit or miss when it comes to compatibility. Trying to emulate something on Citra or Yuzu is a pain in the ass since most of the time you need to spend a lot of time changing settings and it may not be possible to achieve full speed even then. Also 4gb vram, lmao. Just save a little bit more and get an equivalent nvidia card, it's worth it

>4GB VRAM
>64-bit memory interface
>no AV1 decode
>no H.265 encode
>no 4K H.264 encode

Nah, I can't do it.

It just started recently too...

surely you didnt fall for the classic blunder?

also RTX 3000 are known to have power spikes

>6500XT
Either you're a shill or just a retard. DO NOT BUY THIS CARD EVEN IF YOU'RE A POORFAG.

6600xt/6700xt would be a much better deal if you're planning on using them at 1440p

Why would this only recently cause issues though?

What PSU?
>inb4 corsair bronze

Corsair bronze 850 I've been using for like 4 years now lole

The 6600 is still a better buy if you don;t have a brand new processor. it's a lot faster for only about $100 more most places, and doesn't need PCIe 4.0 to hit it's top speeds.

But consoles are still a better buy as you get the whole fucking thing and a controller instead of just one component. You'd still have to spend:
$120 for like a 12100f or something
$80 for a motherboard
$40 for power supply
$35 for a case
$70 for a 1TB SSD and hope you can dig a 1TB HDD out of an old computer or something for extra space
$50 for RAM
$50 for a controller
And it's still not optimized for couch play, and said parts list is still inferior to the 3700X, 6600XT, 2TB SSD, and 24GB of RAM in the new consoles in the new consoles, and more expensive than the comparable XBOX series S or One X.

>Runs 1440p60fps at $199
it can't even run modern games at 1080p60hz

honestly especially if you're a poorfag considering most poorfags are using a motherboard with pci-e 3.0
which will further gimped an already gimped card

Sorry, I just checked to make sure and it's an evga bronze 850

Is there any downside to using a 3080ti with a PCI 3.0 x8 slot?

Probably. Quit being a sperg, get a longer riser cable and plug it into the x16

>no AV1 decode
>no H.265 encode
What the fuck? How?

electrical brainlet here. why wouldn't that work?

yes
3080ti will likely even more bandwidth than 3.0 can handle even with all 16 lanes
with only 8 you are 100% bottle-necking it

Cable with two 300W rated plugs on the end.
Cable can support 600W
Don't listen to the cable selling, case messy jews.

>64-bit memory interface
what the fuck were they thinking?

thinking about buying a prebuilt instead of wasting time building a pc from scratch to replace my eight year old build
is cyberpower any good

Shit, thanks

Yes, you'll definitely be bottlenecked.

Yeah, expect it to be 2x slower.

This has fuck all to do with fucking cables you dumb nigger

Bin it. Get something better.

Is that a Any Forums meme or an actual housefire modern GPU issue?

>Yeah, expect it to be 2x slower.
>2x
>slower
when will this meme end? why won't people say "Half as fast" ?

I have a hard time seeing this as a gaming card. This feels more like a home theater PC card to me. Sure, you could do some retro and light modern gaming on it, but I think this would probably be best off in a living room for playing 8K movies.
