I want to get into it but it seems like a big time sink desu. How much time do you have to spend before you are competent or can have fun?

It's literally a day at most if you are not a retard

It takes like 20 minutes to start feeling confident making a normal hand ( ) and it's fun against other bad people or low level computer opponents.
Memorizing all the more complicated and high scoring hands, and learning to keep track of your 3 opponents discards and trying to work out what hands they're doing and how to counteract it is what takes a lot longer.

Never learn it to begin with. That is how I did it.

There is naught beyond this moment for those who will not give themselves whole to their flow.
