There's an extra layer of annoyance when its people who you're familiar with who refuse because of some person they've developed a parasocial thing with. No one ever pretended IGN was their friend.

Also as a tangent, its annoying that people will pass on games if they aren't totally perfect 10s. I remember back in the ps2 games finding flawed but fun bargain bin games you could boy for a few bucks and play over a weekend was such a chill time. It was like watching some low budget B movie. Sometimes it'd surprise you, most of the time it was just low stress chilling with a simple game that didn't demand you dropped everything else going on with your life.

Same here. I love Lords of Shadows 2 in particular. It's a deeply flawed game, but also incredibly fun. The combat is good, the level design, at least in terms of Dracula's castle if fantastic, and the bosses are a both challenging and a spectacle (except the final boss). Yeah, the stealth sections are shit, the modern day setting is kinda bland, and the final boss and ending can get fucked, not to mention how they wasted Victor. But I still love it. I also love the performances You can tell that the actors had a lot of fun recording this. Zobek in particular is fantastic, and one of my personal favorite video game villains, both because he's a fun character and due to the hammy and over the top performance from Patrick Stewart.
