Little sister wrote a letter, bah bah.
Big sister munched it up, bah bah.
Little sister studied her notes, bah bah.
Big sister tore them to shreds, bah bah.
Little sister wanted to read big sister the letter,
so she fetched it from her sister's stomach.
But with big sister dead in a pool of amber blood,
who is there to read the letter to? Bah bah.
>Set in England in 1930, the plot revolves around a nineteen-year-old woman named Jennifer, who becomes trapped in a world ruled by young girls who have established a class hierarchy called the Red Crayon Aristocrats.
>Punchline wanted to develop a "new type of horror game" with an emphasis on psychological horror. This decision led to the concept of childhood, specifically the "mysterious and misunderstood" nature of young girls.
Sounds based
Look into Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls for an even more unhinged take on a similar concept
>Silent Hill 2-4
>Siren
>Fatal Frame Trilogy
>Kuon
>Haunting Ground
>Rule of Rose
Why were there so many horror kinos on the PS2?
British Lesbian can't handle rejection, gets everyone killed
Its a weird game because horror games normally go from normal to weird. This one goes from weird to depressing and then just keep pushing the depression dial way up. Depressing as fuck twist, depressing as fuck final boss, depressing as fuck ending. Every revelation is worst than the last, SH2 is happy fun time when compared to this. I dont think the director ever made another game which sucks.
>watch theory videos of side characters
>it gets even more depressing
this game had prime cunny
needs a remaster/rerelease
That old chestnut.
>that final scene
>"you will always be in my heart"
>mfw
t.
Many such cases
One of the few games to ever make me tear up, not on the first play though though, because I was too busy taking everything in and taken aback by all the weirdness but once I understood everything and replayed again and understood what most everything meant it was just a sad fairy tale story with no good ending.
Absolutely kino game.
>that gameplay
they just should have made a movie instead
Big graphical jump
Powerful enough to render semi realistic environment
Production of games was cheap enough that making weird shit for it didn't require astronomical budget
Popular console, lots of potential customers
Weird shit would get marketed right next to very mainstream stuff
Publishers were willing to take more chances
It was just the right time. Nowdays something like rule of rose would need to come from obscure indies, that don't have resources to make stuff like that anyway
