Stories of you accidentally overwriting or deleting a friend or sibling's save files? How did it feel? How did they react? Did you make up for it?
Or conversely if anyone has done it to yours?
Stories of you accidentally overwriting or deleting a friend or sibling's save files? How did it feel...
My little brother used to delete my saves whenever he thought he could get away with it including when I went away to college, and now that we're adults he gets mad that I won't let him use my Steam account.
I still remember when I was barely in 7th or 8th grade my neighbor friend accidentally deleted my pokemon silver save file which had all the legendaries including the 3 dogs that took forever to catch. I let him start a new game to try it out and told him explicitly not to save since there's only one save file. He understood and didn't but upon accessing a PC, it pretty much autosaved and 200 hours was lost right there. I was pretty damn upset about it and didn't talk to or see him though I felt bad about that after. Shortly after I went to HS and pretty much lost contact with him anyways. I still remember it to this day.
Is there any character cuter than Merry?
Why did she never get a game? Could have been similar to AMR
When I was 9 I saved over my brother's Digimon World 2003 save. He was near the end of the game... He smacked me over the head with a Spiderman action figure
I am the older brother so I never did this.
I cried because I thought my sister had saved over my Pokemon gold save file and turned out she didn’t
A friend saved over my Golden Sun 2 file at the final boss when I let him play it
But I was older and just played it again.
>A friend saved over my Golden Sun 2 file at the final boss when I let him play it
Holy shit. Did you already collect every Djinn by that point?
Some faggot on school purposely overwrote my +100 hours savefile on Suikoden Tierkreis just for the lulz. That was the only time I actually got into a fist fight with someone
Yes I had transfer data from the first game too haha
My mom wouldn’t read the code for me so I had to do it myself took forever...
>Tierkreis
Goddamnhearingthatnamebringsbacksomeoldassmemories
My sister deleted my Mario Sunshine save file that was like 90% complete and I still don't fully forgive her. Accident my ass there's more than enough safeguards in place to prevent deleting a file in that game, and she didn't save over it she deleted it. That bitch.
Ouch. If I dug hard enough at my folk's place, I might still find the old notebook I had with transfer codes like that and also for Oracle of Ages/Seasons. The shit we had to put up with back then
>2008
I miss the DS era
Is that porn?
>260 characters long code
What were they thinking
Never happened, I made my sister her own Steam account and family shared all my games with her
"Buy the link cable"
no
I know that feel
Hence why I'm now replaying/(or actually try to finish this time) many of the old DS games I enjoyed via emulation
When I was 11 I loved playing pokemon gold. I learned lots of tricks from the playground, including how to use the save glitch to duplicate pokemon. One day at an after church lunch service, I was playing and copying my favourite pokemon (Pidgeot), when another kid came up and asked me what I was doing. I told him I could make copies of pokemon, and showed him my box of multiple level 100s. He was shocked, and asked me to copy his Typhlosion. I confidently said sure, and then immediately fucked up and erased it. I was so embarrassed I handed the game back and ran away. I still feel remorse to this day.
Same. I got a new 3ds and have been replaying a lot of shit on jp, Trauma Center was a lot more fun than I remembered.
My sister did.
She got fucked in the ass.
I can't see how this goes anywhere but sex.
Only one I have worth mentioning is from decades ago, my younger brother deleted my Xenogear's save right as I hit the home stretch, I was quite upset but committed as I restarted the game and made better time.
Pokemon seems to be a pretty common one.
Oh now that I've been thinking about it there was one other time, I brought my memory card and copy of Phantasy Star Online to a friends house and while I was sleeping they lost some of my rare items somehow, that pissed me off.
>Let's have it so you can only have one save file in our popular children's game
>It definitely won't cause issues to those who have siblings that also want to play
Fucking Nintendo. To this day they still haven't learnt
Damn dude...
This is pretty much murder. You're a piece of shit.
It's manslaughter, I did not fuck up on purpose, that's why it was a fuck up. I just wanted to give a kid smaller than me another typhlosion and I was too confident for my own good.
>but upon accessing a PC, it pretty much autosaved and 200 hours was lost right there.
Who the fuck designed this shit? Oh right hackfreaks
