Because it used to be fun. At least the first 6-7 seasons were anyway. Then they added planes for casualniggers who couldn't build worth shit. And then the shitty mechs. They also took shit out that made the game immensely fun like double-pumps. But even then people still came back to playing the game. I think the most unforgivable part is that they put more effort into shilling IPs and skins instead of perfecting gameplay. It really is pathetic to see how much fun the game used to be and where it's at now.

It's difference of enjoyment; GTA 3 was fun because it was the best of its time, even though it didn't have swimming. Enjoyment is fun.
Remakes, etc., are only valid as much as gamers have experienced similar games.
