Game haven't had anything to do with faction war since fucking vanilla. They tried to reignite it two times, first in Pandaria and second in BFA and both times they ended the expansion in shit where factions unite against a single evil. Not to mention every server is now PvE by default and you have to go out of your way to enable WPvP. People who still think that factions matter are delusional.

It'd be furry second life with or without factions, factions are guaranteed dogshit though. Used to be nice when they could manage their own game, clearly is not possible anymore in that facet. So everyone should be able to play together now so whiny retards who think playing alliance is acceptable can try to ruin Horde player's M+ keys and raid clears. They never once thought to rethink incentives for playing on alliance beyond MUH WORLD QUEST BONUS and the stupid fucking quests they get for being the lesser played faction. They let it fester and get so bad they had to open the gates and are attempting something new. That's all there really is to it. WoW will still be WoW, but will a new xpack be good for fucking once? who knows. I think it'll take more than some faction flippy floppies for people to give a fuck about the game.

But you don't think it's possible that the threats faced in a fictional world are so fucked that both sides canonically put differences aside so they still have a home to go to? That could be still considered War...It's not always about faction vs faction and never was or will be. Anything else is purely disingenuous for the sake of not liking where the direction's going. You can say it's shit, but not for reasons like that. We all know why it's going to be shit and it's not that.
