Out of all the M&Ls the only weak one was Paper Jam, and that's mostly because it was held back from its true potential

(You)

paperfag cope thread
why don't you go back to making pathetic partner OCs that you can show to other troons in your shitty threads?

superstar saga and bowser's inside story were kino

The first one was an amazing game. You have bad opinions

Thats a very specific hate. Is there something you're not telling us?

for you

Yeah yeah M&L was never good etc etc. Whatever.

Doesn't even matter throwing tribal shitflining considering Mario RPGs are you know, fucking dead

I did not care for Superstar Saga.

Even weaker than the original SMRPG?

It was a steady slide downhill. Each one just a little bit less soulful and by-the-numbers than the previous entry.

Man I was so obsessed with that game when I was a kid

They hated him because he told them the truth

Based. It is even worse than super paper mario

I still thought they were all better then SMRPG and Bowsers Inside Story was better then TYD

I didn't realize we pretended to care about anything other than SNES one.

Superstar Saga was incredible. On par with the first 2 Paper Mario games.

BiS > PM64 > SS > TTYD > SMRPG > PiT

when i was a retarded kid i remember getting frustrated by the desert part where you have to escort peach somewhere. was that part actually hard/annoying or was i just a retard?

How tf was bowsers inside story less soulful and by the number compared to the previous one

Superstar Saga is a legit 9/10 game and I will physically assault anyone who says otherwise.

That's what I thought, ya bunch of Jabronies.

You were just incredibly impatient. The section takes 5-10 minutes at most if you take it slow and you'll breeze through it.

I loved superstar saga, but partners in time made me never touch the series again.

I hated how every single fucking turn in the newer games are fucking bros items, the entire battle system is fucking bros items.
>BUT SS IS MOSTLY JUST BROS MOVES!
But those last 2 seconds, I didn't want to play a 5 minute shell minigame every time I attack

I was annoyed too as a kid but on replay its insanely easy. i guess its just impatience/wanting to explore

This. Every successive game just piles on more super long attack animations, more super long cutscenes, more fucking tutorials around every single corner, more mandatory minigames completely unrelated to the rest of the game mechanics and which you will never use again.

For some reason Chuckolator or whatever his name was, the soda boss is what I got stuck on for hours and hours as a kid, maybe I was a retard as a kid too

SS was good and BIS was excellent. I'd take them any day over the shitty snes game or the abortion that was SPM

Out of all the RPG series it's the one that feels the most "Mario". Not to knock SMRPG or old PM which have their own appeal, but stuff like every single action requiring the right timing, every single enemy attack being capable of being completely dodged or countered through correct timing of jumps and hammers is very "Mario". The closest the others got to anything like that is TTYD's superguard. Mario & Luigi is a "MARIO rpg" while the others are "mario RPGs".

SMRPG, M&L:SS, and PM64 are the holy trinity of Mario RPGs and they just so happen to be the first (and in one case, last) of their respective RPG 'franchise'. Not to say there weren't good ones afterwards, but those three perfected each of their styles in the first go and simply tried to improve upon it with little success until we reach today, where we have no more Mario RPGs.
