Sega lost the source code so a remaster is impossible unless they remake it from scratch or reverse engineer the entire old game. The former is more feasible for them. Make it under Unreal Engine 4 or Unity.

The only downside was the music compression, and after the initial ear-rape, it wasn't that bad. Get the fuck over yourself and cope already. It was worth it to not have to fight every two steps like the DC version.

they really didnt miss that much except the models that were on the uglier side. specially the overworld map which shows its age a bit with the exception of the discoveries that always looked pretty imo.
it would be cool if they went polished low poly anime style instead of ungodly uncanny valley final fantasy but sega is retarded and wont work on the game anyway.
