To clear things up with someone from the previous thread.
>LOL FUCK NASB
That is not me. In fact, saying all this doesn't even make me feel good, just disappointed.
I was one of the people who have been hardcore defending the game before it came out, i was in love with the very idea of a Nickelodeon fighting game, but once it came out and the more problem started to show up i just started getting less and less enthusiastic about the game.
I get no enjoyment from criticizing the game the way i do because it just disappoints me. But i do feel like i should point out it's flaws so we can get better experiences.
Trust me when i tell you that when i talk shit about NASB i do it out of love and disappointment, not because i enjoy watching it go downhill.

>The base roster characters, again, were rushed
That's the problem that people have.

While I don't doubt that NASB is good for what it does, there's a reason why you don't go the specialist route and cater to one thing. Being a generalist while having your own thing to stand out is, and always will be, the better play. Just look at evolution and how fucked the polar bears are going to be in a decade or two compared to the grizzly's.

But going back to the point, rushing your base roster in a fighting game is the worst thing you can do. That, and the artificial hype from Smash pros in the competitive scene like FaggotBox and co. are going to raise people's standards and expectations to a degree higher than what the devs were prepared for.
I'd even argue that the devs are at fault for promising to cater to that niche but neglect literally everything else that would make any normal fighting game as memorable as it is. The blame for NASB floundering community and its notability is for the Smash fags, the devs, and Nick for being stingier than a Jewish Mr. Krabs.

Another problem with the base roster is that there's too many characters. I know that sounds weird but in this context less really is more. Let me explain.
The developers wanted to work on as many characters as possible but as a result they had to spread their focus on too many characters at once leading to their movesets not feeling unique enough from each other.
It would have been better if they focused on a smaller roster with better movesets but they prioritized more characters at the expense of moveset quality.
This is why Slap City characters are so good, it's because there's not too much of them to take away focus from each other resulting in unique movesets.

WHERE IS FRED FLINTSTONE
WHY IS THERE A FUCKING GAME OF THRONES CHARACTER BEFORE OBE OF THE MOST ICONIC ANIMATED FATHERS OF OUR TIME???

Your list is trash only because of Doc Manhattan

This. If you gotta crunch to make a good game, sure, but do not ever rush a game just to chase sales for a game that costs 50 dollars. People will be more and more despondent and even outraged to even consider purchasing a game that doesn't even have any of the basic but notable flair that comes with any fighting game like voice acting. It's just a boring as fuck game with characters based off of Nick shows. Just devoid of anything interesting but hooking on to the competitive faggots and thinking that they'll keep the game afloat.

I have actually had no success with. He feels very light and seems to have poor reach. I know I'm just bad but I've genuinely done much better with Velma, whom most people say is a little weak.

I don’t know how the shotcallers behind that Nick game didn’t realize that the voices of their most iconic cartoon characters are just as vital as the character design itself
Couple thousand to hundred thousand bucks invested to get some voice actors, even imitators if you want to put those Twitter and TikTok memelords to work, would’ve propped the game up for longer

I feel like that's not really an issue for Multiversus' case; the lead dev seems pretty keen on keeping the game around for as long as he can, and with the way they add and develop shit as it goes on, it looks like they're preparing for the long haul to constantly bring in more and more characters to the point that it eclipses even Smash's roster. The difference here is that the devs are listening to feedback in a critical manner and Warner has given them full faith to make the game that they'd imagine it would be at their potential. Once you've got that nailed down, you can only go up from here, dare I say.

So what are the character announcers like? Just repeating the regular announcer’s lines or actually speaking all the names of the fighters a la Smash?

Captain Planet would be neat

Velmamain here, she is pretty weak but you I've noticed that certain characters are often perfect counters to others and vice-versa. In Taz's case, I've had the most luck with Arya against him since her capacity to dish out damage quickly can interrupt his attacks.

As an alt for Superman, maybe.

Nope, they do have unique lines. For example, when you lose a match, the Bugs announcer will tell you not to worry, that you'll get 'em next time.

What are some fun, original skins we could have for characters? Like Halloween themed stuff?
