no, never
I like videogames
What a pretentious, middle-school atheist-tier line. I mean, I don't even inherently disagree that people are more tempted to be seen doing good than doing """evil""", but it's phrased as if doing good for the sake of vanity is even worse than committing evil acts even though all parties involved would be far better off in the vain but good scenario, no matter how you look at it.
He isn't wrong though, it's pretty easy to fall into a pitfall of doing something good but only at a superficial level
He isn't wrong that it's a concern but he's wrong in trying to compare the two to sound deep
No but I use them to bond and have a good time with my sister so fuck off
This line of thinking is how sjws base their entire lives on and has led to the downfall of western society though (unironically)
The road to Hell may be paved with good intentions, but it's paved with far more bad intentions than good. To sit there and do nothing on the proviso that you might do the wrong thing isn't holiness; it's weakness.
It's a nice little bit of food for thought. It's pretty easy for the average person to do evil without really thinking that they did evil and most people would rather do good if they got the chance, but I think the need to be seen doing good is covered by "pride".
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
The road to heaven is paved with good deeds.
If he was arguing about which one is 'worse' I'd agree with you, but since his point is about the temptation of either act, I'd say he's spot on.
Get read to receive some Holy Spirit
That doesn't work either. One man's good deed is another man's good intention destined to lead to a negative outcome. I still feel this is the best expression.
Yeah, they're pretty fun generally. I think just about everyone can find a video game they like or are super good at.
For example I will never ever beat my grandmother at Tetris 99 because she is an absolute beast at it.
What?
Reminder you're not going to Heaven if you're racist no matter how hard you larp
Nope. Our work is like filthy rags in the sight of the Lord. Only by faith in Christ are you saved.
"Good/Evil" only exists in a Christian framework. Reject meme morality, embrace virtue.
Faith is necessary for salvation, but a faith without works is an empty faith.
The road to heaven is free, Jesus took the bullet for us.
>good/evil is christkike propaganda!
>but you should do good anyway!
what did he mean by this
>every non-white person consigned to hell
lol, think before you speak, NPC
>b-but what about
You'll be down there with the BLM fags forced to suck their cocks poltard, no matter how you larp you're not a real Christian.
Faith alone is worth more than any earthly deed. Those who attempt to swindle their way into God's kingdom with good deeds will still burn, while those who did nothing but persevere in their faith will see salvation.
Again, you don't know what "good" means. Virtue doesn't mean good, you can be virtuous and evil because YHWH arbitrarily said so, while virtues themselves are opposed by good (ie being weak and incompetent but loving god is good while being strong and competent and not caring about him is evil). To quote the giga Jew himself
>it's better to sin and repent than to never sin
>no matter how you larp you're not a real Christian.
is this the new leftist coping mechanism? you are not even christian, why do you care?
There's no whataboutism. You said racism sends one to hell, non-whites are the most racist creatures on this planet. Ergo, non-whites are hellbound based on your logic. Try again.
Think of it like this user:
You are a living being, which means you exist to reject pain and seek pleasure.
Because humans are complex social animals, we have evolved over unfathomable millenia to feel good when we positively impact other people.
Thus, you should do good because it fulfills your basest desires as a living being.
Also
>poltard
This is why you get shot by people you'd never suspect of hating you
Why would I NEED to do good except when it affects me directly? Also good does not exist
It isn't. The feedback loop of people recognizing you doing good is literally part of our healthy development. This is judeo-christian nonsense.
>all these asshurt replies
Lmao, proved my point. Enjoy hell baldies
>Why would I NEED to do good except when it affects me directly?
I'm not your mom, who says you do?
Unrelated, but if you were a gamer you'd know by now that Bébé lilly is true gamer music.
youtu.be
Because evolution has made it so that narcissistic behavior makes you a schizo.
You did.
>actually good is evil
Wow...Truly a phulosopher of our times.
>I will never ever beat my grandmother at Tetris 99 because she is an absolute beast at it.
That's actually pretty impressive, not gonna lie
>while those who did nothing but persevere in their faith will see salvation.
Those who are called still need to be justified if they are to be glorified, if they are to find their way to heaven. Those who have faith will naturally do good works. God's grace is salvific, but we must co-operate with the grace God has gifted us with, we must "yield ourselves in obedience" to that grace. That yielding is necessarily a symptom of real agency on our part - it requires action; it engenders work of some kind.
>non-whites are racist! and only non-whites!
the irony in this statement is hilarious
No, he's saying you're bad if you only do good deeds while being witnessed by others in order to acquire clout instead of always doing them whenever available out of moral goodness
