never. i always ordered everything from the internet. at worst the game arrived maybe 1 day after release. nowadays there's no point to even get games on day 1 because there's always some fucking patch or for mp games there's always server bullshit

None, I remember the Super Smash Bros Ultimate release at the local gamestop having a huge line at midnight.
I drove past it, went inside the Walmart a couple blocks away went to electronics section. Asked an old black lady for Smash Ultimate, she proceeded to open a box with copies and rang it up. Didn't need to bother pre-ordering it either.
