What's his best game?

What's his best game?
For me it's either NMH, FS&R or Silver Case

Killer 7 or Silver Case

1. NMH1
2. Killer7
3. 25th Ward
4. Everything else he's ever made

Tie between NMH 1 and K7.
I wish NMH3 was good.

Literally all of them but the one I replay the most is SUPER FIRE PROWRESTLING III FINAL BOUT is I'll pick that one but Moonlight Syndrome has a special place in my heart, it still haunts me to this very day because of how batshit it was.

>25th Ward
Fuck I just realized I never actually finished it or got too far into it.
How much does it improve on Silver Case?
>spoiler
Me too :(

>Moonlight Syndrome
Wish I knew Japanese. Was it that good?
>I never actually finished it
Bro, you SHOULD play it and complete it.

Killer7 > NMH1 > TSA > FSR > Silver Case > NMH3 >>> NMH2

Haven't finished 25th ward yet.

NMN 2

>Was it that good?
Someone asked me about it on a previous thread so I'll repost my review
It's really unfortunate that people can't experience this Kill The Past entry because it's untranslated. It's especially sad because Kamui's origins are in the game and TSC's beginning is a sequel to the end of Moonlight Syndrome. The main character is Mika from the prequel Twilight Syndrome (which was made by Suda as well). However, Moonlight Syndrome does not deal with urban legends, spiritual phenomena and human sadness (like in the end of Twilight Syndrome), but with the madness of the human mind. The characters' dialogues, their actions, and the development of the game all reflect the absurdity and spine-chilling madness of the human mind. Mass suicides, bizarre murders, stalkers... not for the usual reasons, but for something more vague and nebulous, something we can understand but don't want to understand, the madness that lies at the bottom of the human heart. The game attacks a variety of perspectives on matters that we have naturally turned away from, as much as we dislike them. The game was a very realistic representation of modern Japan. Suda created a genius masterpiece, there's no other games like it.

Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater

Holy shit, this sounds crazy. I never knew it was related to TSC. Now that makes me more sad I cannot play it :(

>second spoiler
why is that a spoiler?

I've never played Suda's early games, I guess since you replayed it a lot it's good, right?

Killer 7, pretty much objectively so. Silver Case and FSR are up there. 25th Ward filtered me, to be honest. I had no idea what was going on most of the time.

It's too bad Moonlight Syndrome isn't his IP so he can't do much about bringing it to the west. Also he doesn't think this specific style of adventure game would work today when he was asked about bringing back this gameplay format so I don't think he's even interested in porting it.
Those are elements that spoils some events in the game, just in case someone is planning to play it.
SFPW3 is a simple yet at times deep and complicated wrestling game in which you work your opponent's limps and press the button at the right moment to execute a move on him. There is shitloads of wrestlers to pick, the roster is massive. If you're playing the tourney mode, the opponents at the start might seem too easy but halfway through the tourney they will be pain in the ass. It's really addicting, I've been replaying it (and Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special which was also created by Suda) for decades.

Man I really hope this game gets translated, wanna check it out.
I also hope that FSR gets a Remake, like Suda announced a few years ago.
I'd say
Killer7 > 25th ward > TSC > TSA > NMH1 > LC > SOTD > NMH2
Haven't played NMH3 since I'm waiting for the upcoming PC release. I generally prefer his less whacky games.
>I had no idea what was going on most of the time
I think that's part of the appeal, every time I play this game I understand a little more.

it's a straight upgrade for me. it's like they took all the took memorable bits of Silver Case and expanded them to make a full game. it's so fucking good.
the only cons is that the interactive part are actual dogshit. for some reason you can't even save in the middle of a chapter.

Totally seems interesting, I'll keep an eye out if I can get it physical then.

The Silver Case is my favorite. It carries a good message about not letting other people's expectations define who you are and has so many good moments. The soundtrack is also fucking amazing.

I feel as though Suda is unable to make a work like this again since its too "normal" while every game afterwards is too focused on upping the zaniness and making too many references to different media.

Silver Case was full of references though. The most "normal" part of the game, Tokio's story, wasn't even written by him.
