Is this game good?
It's pretty much like MGS5 but with PSP graphics and smaller mission areas it's alright
Imagine if MGS5 had tighter direction, was less ambitious with gameplay but actually finished.
I liked it but it's really grindy. I played it on PSP though. Also fuck the button mashing part in particular that shit was nearly impossible
it's much better with a friend. Spent so much time in this game when I was still in HS and not a jaded faggot who spent time ranting on a basket weaving forum ranting about chuds, trans folk and trump.
>Also fuck the button mashing part
Was it the one where you get captured and tortured? Fuck me I nearly broke my PSP there.
>Really liked Paz in peace Walker
>Next games obligates you to hear a tape of her getting raped and then blows up
Yeah I had to put my PSP on a table and tap it like that. I almost broke mine too
Playing it right now. It's pretty darn good.
MGS3 gameplay with MGSV base management.
Peace Walker is in fact, the Chapter 3 of MGSV. Kojima made this on purpose and thought it would be cool to think about in the terms of time travel and reverse story telling. He is such a genius. I bet you didn't think about this at all.
>Cecile's existence is simply disregarded
Only downside to the HD collection is the missing multiplayer on rpcs3, which I hope they'll manage to get the PSN multuplayer to work in the near future because the game looks so bad on PPSSPP even with the patches.
But yeah the game is cool, the plot and the paper cutscenes make the game look like a manga or some animuh shit
The same vibe that portable ops gave me, but this time with a "legit plot"
Peace walker isn't chapter 3 you dumbass, MGSV is just an unfinished remake of peace walker. Almost beat for beat the story is the same aside from the shitty twist at the end of MGSV.
It's the worst game in the series followed by TPP
Peace Walker had a way better story than MGSV.
I'm really sad at how poorly the series had to end because of MGSV. I really wish it was just never made at this point.
flawed but has more soul than MGSV does, so I'd say this is the real MGS5.
The setting is really cool too, they did a good job given what they had to work with on the hardware side, it's just a shame we couldn't see it more fully realized because the areas are tiny.
Story is dumb and kind of terrible, everything with The Boss and Strangelove sucks, but the rest of the cast is great
Yes but it's bordering in between "good" and "good for a handheld game". If you don't go in expecting MGS1-3 you're most likely going to be pleasantly surprised
>PSP looks bad blown up from it's native resolution which was muddy and no anti-aliasing due to screen size
Quelle Surprise!
The fact that they never ported it to Vita with native dual thumbstick support is proof Sony wanted that handheld to fail.
At least you can install the PSP version through CFW.
Having it in a portable format alleviates a lot of the design quirks for me.
Aside from the dogshit boss battles this game is a 10/10 if you enjoy comfy grinding
