Am I crazy to think that if GTA6 isn't another modern day take it won't perform as well? I feel like a majority of the vidya audience (the normies) tend to stay away from any futuristic stuff and the past is only allowed when it's a war simulation. You can't go too far into the future, maybe only a little bit with stuff mostly still being familiar, and when you go back into the past you're automatically limiting yourself a metric fuck ton. GTA5 has the ability to take everything and throw it into a whacky multiplayer experience. Since everything is already familiar to our present they can still pull stupid shit out their ass. And it also allows them to give people the fantasy of living another life where you've got a big penthouse and 40 luxury cars and military shit. I really wonder how a GTA6 would perform in the long run.
